This training will support officers to identify and manage emotional distress - both their own and that of others - during challenging situations where grief and loss is central.
With a focus on recognising the impact of loss, this course will empower officers to confidently respond to emotion of others, offering compassionate communication and providing support to individuals experiencing loss.
It will also address the emotional toll on officers, promoting resilience and
improved mental well-being. An approach guided by a grief lens can help foster empathy, build trust with communities, and ensure officers are better prepared to navigate the emotional complexities of their role.
